Burns began her television career in 1995, playing the lead role of Peg from the Spanish-American teenage show Out of the Blue (1995-1996). Burns was on the Baywatch cast in 1998. She then starred on Baywatch: Hawaii's second Baywatch: Hawaii version until her pregnancy made her leave the series.
