Nancy O'Dell's initial position in the broadcasting industry was as an anchor and reporter at WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later she was a morning-news anchor as well as a crime reporter at WCBD TV. While in Charleston O'Dell's reports about the relaxed approach police take towards DUI cases caused an State Law Enforcement Division investigation which resulted in the states authorities again releasing an even more strict directive on these cases. Ms. O'Dell was awarded her Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. O'Dell, after her stint at Charleston reporting and anchor at the NBC Miami WTVJ-TV station before moving to Access Hollywood where she is currently a co-anchor and correspondent during weekends. Her current position as a host on Access Hollywood is complemented by the work she has done for NBC News Today, Dateline NBC as well as NBC News. She has covered such events as The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as well as co-hosting a number of pre-show arrivals for The Emmys and the Golden Globes. Her other co-hosting credits include the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
